The legend states that Goddess Parvati made Ganesha out of sandalwood paste and appointed him to protect her home while she was bathing. Lord Shiva came back, and Ganesha, not knowing that this Lord was Lord Shiva, didn’t allow him to enter. Furious, Lord Shiva cut off the head of Lord Ganesha.
To relieve Parvati’s sorrow, Lord Shiva gave her the assurance that he would bring him back to life. He ordered his followers to bring him the head of the first animal that they saw facing north, which turned out to be an elephant. The elephant’s head brought him back to life, and it was blessed that Ganesha was to be worshipped before every new beginning.
Although Ganapati Chaturthi is of religious importance, which goes back several centuries, it was established as a huge public celebration in the late 19th century. Bal Gangadhar Tilak called for the celebration of the community to bring together people in the struggle for India’s independence. The social drive morphed into the large public festival that is today.

Teams must stay together during the Treasure Hunt and are encouraged to work together to solve the clues from each location.
The teams will be responsible to decipher the clues and safely acquire the clues from each of the locations.
Each clue once solved will lead you to a location where you will be able to collect your next clue.
Whether or not all clues are solved, teams must return to Robertos Restaurant Area by 05:00 pm to qualify for exciting prizes.
